My hair style - luscious locks everywhere

When leaving response to my recent article about Herbal Essences Color me Happy, Julie asked me if I could tell her how to style her stubborn curly hair, and explain what rotating hot air brushes are.
Well, to tell you the truth, hot air rotating brushes are just the thing if you're ready to use appliances. As the name says, those are round brushes that rotate about 100 times a minute and blow dry at the same time, giving you (in my experience) great looking, obedient hair. I have wavy, very thick and stubborn hair, that I used to control with tons of products, but do not need so much of them anymore.
The only thing you have to remember is to section your hair into quite small portions, so you don't get tangled, and don't expect to be an expert right away, it takes some practice. But it sure beats holding a blow dryer in one hand and pulling your hair with a brush with the other. And it is surely faster and more convenient once you get the hang of it.
How to do it you might ask? Well, first wash and condition your hair. Put on a bit of leave-in conditioner, especially on your hair ends. Let it air dry until still damp, and than apply some hair mousse, which will hive your hair hold and shine. Start with small sections, best from your neck up, with the un-dried hair pinned up. Have patience and don't rush it at first. If you what to have tighter locks at your hair ends (like I do), just switch to smaller brush head, you'll probably get two with your hot air rotating brush.
As far as I know, there are only two appliances of this type available right now. The first one is Revo Styler, which you can auction for at eBay. The second existing is Rowenta Brush Active (which I have), you can look it up at the international website of Rowenta company.
If you don't want to bother with yet another appliance, I suggest you read my post about getting soft tresses using a hair iron and some clips. I sometimes employ this technique when I have more time.
BTW - I am always here for all of you to reply to any of your beauty questions, you can leave a comment or send me an e-mail (scroll down, it's at the end of that page!)

If you don't wash and condition your hair you won't get the same effects right ?

Hmmm... sounds like a great idea for my girlfriend. I think she was complaining the other day as well about the amount of products she needs to use to get her hair right... I am told that she looks like an absolute monster in the morning with her hair. Don't know what she means though! Not seen her first thing in the morning, but I feel sorry for you girls that you have to contend with all of this. Hopefully I can make her life a lot easier by purchasing one of these for her... will definitely be taking a look at it.

Herbal essences worked great even for me and God is my witness, I have a very difficult hair. I always need to change my shampoo becuase otherwise it goes crazy. Is this normal?
Response from: appliance parts (11/09/07 5:51pm)
Hmm, it is not normal and changing the shampoo is one of the worst ideas for your hair. The thing is that you need to use a very good one. Do not be cheap and your hair will enrich.

Amazing! Is it possible for you to post pictures showing BEFORE and AFTER hair looks? I’m really interested but still I wanted to know if what my hair will look like after using this comb. Where can I buy one of these and for how much?
Response from: Xoobie online auctions (06/23/08 5:18pm)
What an awesome idea?

I wonder if I auction it for eBay I’ll be informed of its advantages and disadvantages. Hot air brushes are damaging so they should be used minimally. How would you advise people regarding that matter?
